TERMS AND CONDITIONS


All products are subject to availability, and acceptance of your orders. We reserve the right to change all or some of the contents or packaging with an item of equal or greater value without notice. Flowers may be delivered in bud to ensure longer life. Some flower bouquet contents may be harmful if eaten and/or a skin irritant. Please call us at the number given above if you wish to enquire about the safety of contents before ordering.  If we are unable for any reason to make up a satisfactory replacement, we will make a full refund of the price of you have ordered as above.

Our flowers are subject to availability. If a particular flower isn't available we will replace it with one of equal or greater value.

Please note adverse weather conditions or other events outside of our reasonable control may result in the occasional late or cancelled delivery. If that is the case we will endeavour to contact you as soon as we are able to in order to reschedule your delivery date. In any event our liability will be limited to the price of goods not delivered and the cost of delivery.

Should you instruct us to leave a delivery unattended at any address, you agree we disclaim all liability which may arise for reasons of the delivery being left unattended for a period of time. This includes but is not limited to theft, contamination or temperature change.


PRIVACY POLICY

Bird Studio are committed to keeping your data safe and strictly limit who we share the data we collect from visitors to our site. All data is for our use and our website providers only. Detailed below is our Privacy Policy with more information about the specifics involved.

When someone visits birdstudio.co.uk Squarespace collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Squarespace to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. 

As part of the registration process for our newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about workshops and promotions we offer and additional information you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

Cookies.

By using this website, you agree to our use of cookies. We use cookies to provide you with a great experience and to help our website run effectively.

We use Squarespace our website provider to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our website and services. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any  time by clicking the unsubscribe button on our emails. Or emailing us directly so that we can remove you from our lists.

By purchasing our products services and classes you are agreeing and consenting to our privacy policy. We never share your  payment details with anyone.

Squarespace is the host of our website and also the company we use for any emails the we send you. They will never hold or sell on any personal information about you. Please visit their website for details of  their own policy. 

 

DELIVERY AND ORDERING


Our delivery area can be seen HERE and a list of postcodes we deliver to. If you have any special requirements please contact us before ordering. We deliver Monday to Friday only and all orders must be placed before 12pm midday for our 48 hour delivery service. Standard shipping is £9.


All our bouquets are made with the freshest ingredients on the day that they are delivered  by our courier. They don’t like being kept in the delivery box so please unpack immediately and make sure that someone is available to take delivery of your item. Our Couriers will either leave in a suitable place or deliver to a neighbour if no one is in. Due to the perishable nature of our products our dedicated couriers are unable to make re-deliveries if no-one is at home. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure there is someone available to take receipt of your order, or that there is a safe place for your delivery to be left.CANCELLING AN ORDER

You may cancel an order by giving us not less than 48 hours notice prior to the requested delivery date (orders placed or cancelled on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays will be treated as having been received on the following working day). In such circumstances a full refund will be provided. If less than 48 hours notice is given, a refund will only be provided if at the time of cancellation, the preparation of your order has not begun. Our wedding collection is exempt from this and can only be cancelled by prior agreement as the preparation time involved exceeds 48 hours.


REFUNDS 

We want you to love your flowers but occasionally  as with all perishable items things can go wrong.  Flower orders may be sent out in bud form meaning they will last longer with the recipient but may not look exactly the same as the bouquet pictured on our website. Our flowers are packed carefully to ensure they arrive as fresh and beautiful as when they left us however on occasion and for reasons beyond our control they may be damaged in transit. If you receive flowers that do not seem fresh or are damaged photograph your item and contact us immediately.


If the flowers you receive do not meet our high standards, we will give you the choice of a free replacement at our next available delivery date, or a refund. Please note that in order to be eligible for a refund or a replacement, you will need to email us a photo of the spoiled flowers within 24 hours of receipt. If we offer you a refund, we will refund you the full amount within 3 working days. This is without prejudice to your statutory rights in respect of damaged, defective or incorrectly supplied goods.

While we take all appropriate steps to make sure our flowers are delivered correctly, sometimes mistakes occur. If we fail to deliver your order (i.e. if your flowers have not arrived within 3 days of their intended delivery date) we will either send you a free replacement on our next available delivery date, or we will refund you the full price of your order within 3 days.


MESSAGE CARDS

Your name will not be divulged to the recipient unless you have requested. We do however reserve the right to reject any order with an accompanying card that is any way rude, offensive, abusive or racist.

FORCE MAJEURE


Neither BIRD STUDIO , nor any courier service that we may use shall be liable for any failure to perform, where such failure or delay results from any circumstances outside our reasonable control including but not limited to any fire, flood, explosion, accident, adverse weather conditions, traffic congestion, mechanical breakdown, obstruction of any private or public highway, riot, government act, act of war, terrorism, act of God, or from any industrial dispute or strike whatsoever. In such circumstances, our liability to you will be limited to the price of goods not delivered and the cost of delivery.


CARING FOR YOUR FLOWERS

Your flowers have been carefully prepared and packed, but to continue enjoying them for as long as possible please follow our care instructions.

Upon receipt of your flower delivery please check to see if they are in a water supply (vase) if they are make sure the water levels are topped as some spillages occur during transit. If your flowers are wrapped or in an aqua pack please snip a small amount off the ends of each stem and place in a suitable clean container with plenty of water and flower food ensuring that all foliage has been removed from below the water line. Replenish the water every few days keeping the vase clean.

Please don’t place your flowers in very strong light or next to a heat source, avoid placing next to fruit as this will decrease the lifespan of your flowers.

Dried Flowers.

These if kept clean and dry would remain looking great for quite some time, however it is likely that over time the colours may fade ever so slightly .

To keep clean a very gentle gust with a hairdryer  occasionally should keep them dust free.

To preserve their colour as much as possible avoid placing anywhere damp or moisture laden direct stone light.
